This tree in early spring with its sparse leaves and blossoms reminded me of the trees in Africa. It is a black locust and one of the finest in the state of Washington. This one is on the Whitman College campus in Walla Walla, Washington and stands at the end of a long greensward. It is lovely in the dawn light. |
