This is my most beloved trail on the Sunrise side of Mt. Rainier. While my father was dying, this is where I would come to connect to the bigger perspective of life unfolding through the seasons and through the millennia. This space is huge, my heart opens here and all is well.

I contemplated bringing some of his ashes here, but as I looked around at the big vistas and the blooms at my feet, it was abundantly clear to me that what I loved about my father was already here. So, no ashes. Just life force.

I pilgrimage here to visit Dad.
