Numerous creeks that debouch into Lake Washington, some big some small, but none do it as charmingly as Thornton Creek just to the south of Matthews Beach. I was charmed by this place the first time I found it years ago, and I remain charmed. It always seems to be right out of a fairy tale. Magic happens in this place.
