Butterfly beach is one of my favorite places to visit in Santa Barbara, California. And Santa Barbara is one of my favorite places to visit in the world.

This beach scene is across the street from the Biltmore Four Seasons Hotel, a classy place built in the 1930's. My mom turned me onto the idea of walking the gardens of the Biltmore even if one is not a guest, it's kinda the opposite of slumming.

When we visit Santa Barbara, it has become tradition to walk the gardens, sit on the benches, and enjoy the ambiance of an earlier and more leisurely time.

While sitting with my beloved, watching on one of those benches, waiting for our reservation for dinner on a quiet October evening, I drew this romantic scene of a younger couple sitting on the beach wall.
